With the charm of a quaint New England town and the convenience of suburban living, Wilton successfully combines country atmosphere with in-town sophistication. The two acre zoning is conducive to privacy and while the town has all the amenities for today's lifestyle, it also values its antiquity.
Located 55 miles from Manhattan, Wilton offers access to the major employment centers as well as cultural opportunities. Easy access to the Merritt Parkway and the I-95 makes travel to the other towns convenient.
Wilton is proud of its recreational facilities which feature a wide variety of programs including the Wilton Family Y home to the Champion Wahoos Swim Team, and Merwin Meadows Park, a fresh water swimming pond with other amenities. The woodcock Nature Center and Weir Farm National Historic Site attract walkers and explorers to scenic trails.
Wilton's school system is supported by about two thirds of its total budge. Wilton has three Elementary schools - Ina E. Driscoll School, Tilford W. Miller School and one hgh school, Wilton High.
